The year started off with the nest blowing down in January. Two new nests were started; the male started building in the old tree, while the female started in a tree next to it. Then another windstorm hit and blew the male's nest off and the female's tree down. A 3rd nest this year has been built and is now in use. April 27--A chick has been spotted in the nest. May 5th--A second chick appeared in the nest. July 14th--The first chick has fledged.
